Oh Disney..Please Try Harder
The first 3 original Star Wars films are by far the best of the franchise and rightly so however since buying 20th Century Fox Disney have become famous for their lack luster 4K releases. The Empire Strikes Back on 4K is the best it has ever looked however it seems very DNR Heavy with hardly any grain and this should be present as the film was shot on 35mm plus the new Atmos Soundtrack although an upgrade from the Bluray could have been given so much more love and attention however John Williams soundtrack is very present throughout especially the opening Theme does sound impressive,plenty of bass here though,when the Falcon flys through the asteroid field your room will shake,a worthwhile upgrade however for such iconic films and considering just how magnificent other studios have presents their classic catalogs in 4k it could have been better.
