From Child's Play creator Don Mancini

The notorious Chucky slashes his way to television in a killer new series written and executive produced by creator Don Mancini, who penned the iconic film franchise. After teenage loner Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) discovers a vintage 'Good Guy' doll at a suburban yard sale, a quiet American town soon erupts into mayhem as a blood-chilling murder spree begins to spill everyone's deepest and darkest secrets.

While Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif) unleashes havoc, familiar faces from his past return and threaten to reveal his shadowy origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became the legendary murderous doll.

Great set for fans that comes at a price and slim on special features

Who doesn't love Chucky? As a fan of the films and now this series which vastly improves upon the last few films. It's so good. I love the packaging, though a steelbook would have been nice (no stars deducted for that) since the art cards and lenticular cover made up for that. I had to take one star off for the lack of special features. They shouldn't have bothered with the few deleted scenes and oh so short featurette that was included. With only 8 episodes and about half an hour of extras, was it worth the cost? For a collector and lover of Chucky, yes. For others, not so much. Bring on Season 2... give me an excuse to bing-watch this entire first season again please!
