Gilda:
Johnny Farrell (Glen Ford) goes to work for Ballin Mundson (George Macready), the proprietor of an illegal gambling casino, to become Mundson's 'main man'. All is well until Mundson returns from a trip with his new bride, Gilda (Rita Hayworth) - a woman from Johnny's past.
In A Lonely Place:
Dixon Steele (Humphrey Bogart) is a down-on-his-luck studio scribe who reluctantly agrees to adapt a trashy bestseller to the silver screen. Mildred Atkinson (Martha Stewart) accompanies him home to recount the story in her own words but later is found murdered, with Steele becoming the prime suspect.
The Killers:
Based on a story by Ernest Hemingway, The Killers is a tale of two hit-men who invade a small town. This tense thriller uncovers a complex tale of treachery and crime, all linked to the gorgeous Kitty Collins (Ava Gardner).
Double Indemnity:
Classed as one of the greatest film noir ever made. Smooth talking insurance salesman Walter Neff (Fred MacMurray) meets attractive Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck) when he calls to renew her husband's automobile policy. The couple are immediately drawn to each other and an affair begins in this classic crime thriller.
