Kevin Costner stars as the titular role in this now famous adaptation of the Robin Hood mythos. After escaping from the imprisonment of the Turks Robin returns to England only to find that his father has been murdered and the land that was once his now belongs to the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham. Going into hiding in Sherwood forest Robin becomes the leader of a band of exiled villagers and seeks to right the many wrongs that have been perpetrated.
