Created by writer Michael Chaplin (Monarch of the Glen), Grafters - Series 1, is a comedy drama series starring Robson Green and Stephen Tomkinson as two Geordie 'Grafters' who take on the job of renovating an old London house for a young married couple.

Joe Purvis (Robson Green) is a Newcastle builder trying to establish his own business. Joe is also a womanizer who views emotional commitment as something to be avoided. His younger brother, Trevor (Stephen Tompkinson), is an unemployed painter and decorator who is having marital difficulties. When Joe lands a highly lucrative house renovation job in London, he sees it as a chance to start "Purvis & Purvis" Master Builders, while Trevor sees it as a chance to give his wife and baby son some space. Nothing however quite goes to plan for our valiant brothers, with hilarious consequences!!
