Watchtower

Shot in Turkey's western Black Sea region, Watchtower is an emotional drama from award-winning Turkish director Pelin Esmer. Featuring powerful performances from Olgun Simsek and Nilay Erdönmez, it is a poignant story of guilt, conscience and hope which won multiple awards on the festival circuit, including Best Director and Best Actress at the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.

Haunted by a tragic incident, Nihat has isolated himself as the fire warden of a remote observation tower. At a rural bus station in the region, Seher has taken a job as a hostess. Events bring them together and they make a personal connection, reluctantly choosing companionship over isolation in an effort to redevelop compassion in their lives and work through their personal pain.
