This was not a movie I remember seeing in the 1980's on VHS. Consequently, it was a genuine surprise to watch this particular one. Don't get me wrong, I'm a connoisseur of Italian action films. After the Fall of New York, Hands of Steel and Ironmaster all being films I have revisited recently in genuine widescreen versions on Blu-Ray. For some reason Blastfighter never showed up at my Blockbuster. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! Some of the ways it went actually took me by surprise! And the gun! It keeps you waiting until the end before it gets used, which I loved. You always know its there, just waiting for things to get truly bad. Gosh I hope nothing bad happens to his newly found daughter! An absolutely lovely transfer from 88 Films, with a film quality that is perfectly crisp and lovely original aspect ratio. Add it to your collection now!
