Harley-Davidson has been producing motorcycles since 1903. It was founded by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson. Later, Arthur's brothers Walter and William also joined. In 1903 only three machines where built, then in 1904 production moved to a shed behind the Davidson's house where work began on the 30 cubic inch single which was later named "The Silent Grey Fellow".
In this programme, while looking at Harley-Davidson motorcycles from the full hundred years of production, we largely concentrate on the history of the first fifty years. What's so good about Harley-Davidson? If you have to ask you wouldn't understand.
