Welcome To Santa Carla

Directed by Joel Schumacher, The Lost Boys (1987) is a comedy horror film. The movie stars Corey Haim, Jason Patric, Jamison Newlander, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, and Edward Herrmann — among others.

At the beginning of the film, the recently divorced Lucy Emerson (Wiest) and her two sons Michael (Patric) and Sam (Haim) travel to a small beach town in California. This town, as it turns out, is plague by a number of mysterious deaths.

During the story, Sam makes friends with Edgar (Feldman) and Alan Frog (Newlander), who claim to be vampire hunters. Meanwhile, Michael finds himself drawn to a gang of bikers led by the mysterious David (Sutherland). As he soon finds out, there is more going on in Santa Carla than meets the eye.

The first film was tremendously successful, resulting in the creation of two sequels, Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) and Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010). There have also been two comic book series and a TV show.
