Alita: Battle Angel is an epic cyberpunk action film that was released in 2019, directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by movie mogul James Cameron. Based on the critically acclaimed work of Japanese manga artist Yukito Kishiro, the film became Rodriguez’s highest-grossing film.

Taking place in the fictional Iron City, the film is set in the 26th century, 300 years after a societal collapse caused by a major war. The plot centres around the story of Alita, a cyborg who is brought back to life by Dr. Ido after he discovers her in a wreckage.

Alita awakens in a new body with no memory of her past and sets out to uncover her destiny and realise her true purpose.

The film features an eclectic cast comprising Rosa Salazar as Alita, Christoph Waltz as Dr Dyson Ido, Jennifer Connelly as Chiren, among many other talented actors.
