Guardians Of The Galaxy T-shirts

Dress like a Ravager with Zavvi AU’s wide range of Guardians Of The Galaxy T-shirts. Based on the fan-favourite team from the Marvel Universe, our line-up of clothing items brings as much style and character as you’ve seen in the critically acclaimed film series, each product featuring a unique print designed by our in-house team.

The Marvel Cosmic Universe

The first iteration of the Guardians Of The Galaxy, which made its debut in Marvel Super-Heroes #18 (1969), consisted of Vance Astro, Martinex T'Naga, Captain Charlie-27, and Yondu Udonta. Despite being first to arrive on the scene, these cosmic characters are less recognisable in the eyes of mainstream audiences, who have become accustomed to the roster seen in the live-action movies, originally comprising Star-Lord / Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax The Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot. Assembled by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, these ‘superheroes’ — also joined by Adam Warlock and Phyla-Vell — made an impression on the pages of Annihilation: Conquest, a major crossover event in Marvel comics, before starring in their own 2008 standalone title.

The new team’s popularity made them ideal candidates to lead the franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and after the release of the first instalment in 2018, this proved to be true. With a cast of talented actors embodying the characters — Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Zoe Saldaña (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax The Destroyer), Vin Diesel (Groot), and Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) — audiences embraced this new corner of the MCU, which had previously focused on Earth-centric heroes, such as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans).

Following two solo films, the Guardians made their presence known in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), which finally saw Thanos (Josh Brolin) enact his plan to wipe out half of all life in existence using the Infinity Stones. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes collided with their spacefaring counterparts, combining forces to stop the Mad Titan’s plan from coming to fruition.
